Terms and Conditions


All animals boarding with us at Hucclecote Holiday Hutches must be in good health, and any medical conditions discussed with us prior to us being able to board your pet. We reserve the right to refuse to accept your pet if we feel they are showing signs of illness or injury. This is for the benefit of your own pet and that of other boarders. Medication for a non-contagious existing medical problem can be administered with the pet owners consent and written instruction. Rabbits should have been vaccinated against Myxomatosis and VHD (Viral Haemorrhagic Disease). Your pet will not mix with any other animals whilst in our care, except for their own hutch mate, should they have one. Hutches are cleaned regularly and pets checked throughout the day. We will ensure that all pets have standard rabbit dry food, fresh hay, a selection of fresh vegetables/fruit, and water on a daily basis. Any special dietary requirements or treats must be provided by the owner. Rabbits will receive daily exercise in an outdoor run (subject to weather conditions), which will be secure and safe. If your rabbit becomes ill during his/her stay with us, we will inform you or your emergency contact immediately, and consult your vet. If your pet then requires medical attention from the vet we will transport him/her there for treatment. We will not charge for this service, but any costs for treatment by the vet must be met by you, the owner. If you have bonded pets staying with us and we need to separate them due to illness, there will be no charge for the additional accommodation. However, if they need to be separated due to fighting, you will be required to pay an extra charge. Any extra costs will be charged on collection of your pet. In the unlikely event that your pet passes away whilst in our care, we will contact you or your emergency contact immediately. Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to keep your pet under these circumstances, so they would be taken to our vets where they will await your instructions. Please note that as with medical treatment, any fees charged by our vets are payable in full by the owner. If your pet is elderly and you believe that this might happen during their stay with us, you can leave instructions with us on arrival. We accept no liability in the unlikely event that your pet becomes ill or passes away whilst staying at Hucclecote Holiday Hutches. All pets are left entirely at owner’s risk. We accept no liability for any injury sustained by you whilst on our premises.


Boarding prices are calculated on a per day (or part of) basis. We do not ask for a deposit when you make your booking, so all bookings are held in good faith. However, this does mean that a hutch is reserved for you, so please inform us ASAP if you need to cancel a booking. Please provide as much notice as you can should you require any changes to your booking. We will wherever possible try to accommodate those changes. Full payment will be due on the day of arrival. We do not have the facilities to accept payments by debit / credit card.

Abandoned Pets

In the event of an animal not being collected within 10 days of the due collection date, we reserve the right to re-home the animal. Any fees incurred as a result of the re-homing process, plus the fees for the extended stay at Hucclecote Holiday Hutches are payable in full by the owner.


Whilst your pet is in the care of Hucclecote Holiday Hutches, we will take every precaution to safeguard your animal. All animals, regardless of temperament, will be transported to and from the runs using a pet carrier. Drop off and collection times will be discussed at booking and we ask that you keep to these arranged times as close as possible. If you are likely to be delayed for the collection of your rabbit, please advise us if at all possible. Should the collection move back to a later date, then the additional boarding fees applicable will be payable upon collection.
